It has been announced that luxury beauty brand, Shiseido, is launching a new makeup collection comprising 21 products and 135 shades on 1st September 2018 worldwide.
The new Shiseido Makeup is the first collection developed by the Makeup Centres of Excellence (COE) based in New York. The new theme for the collection is Visible Feels Invisible, which offers delicate lightweight textures that can be achieved only with Japan quality and feel almost like skincare products. Described as weightless but lasting, this collection is created to make a statement using bold, impactful colours. Furthermore, instead of the traditional categories of face parts such as eyes and lips, the Shiseido Makeup range is categorised into four re-imagined textures: Gels, Dews, Inks, and Powders.
“It was very important that we link the skincare, which is our heritage and pride, to Shiseido Makeup. That said, we are not simply a colour brand with skincare,” said Jill Scalamandre, President of Shiseido Global Makeup Centre of Excellence. “When it comes to innovation in formulation, Shiseido remains unmatched in the industry, so we harnessed that technology to develop revolutionary textures in colour that are in lockstep with our skincare positioning,” added Jill.
Its exceptional packaging that includes a lacquered red line has been developed with some of the slimmest componentry available, representing the concept of Modern Japanese.
Furthermore, Shiseido has announced the appointment of Patrick Ta as Global Colour Artist. Due to his keen eye for colour and astuteness approach to social media, Patrick transformed his passion for beauty into a successful career. Recognised as one of the most sought-after face painters in the world, Patrick boasts an extensive list of celebrities and supermodels that include Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Olivia Munn, Chrissy Teigen, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Ariana Grande, Rita Ora, as well as countless other A-listers.
