To create Molton Brown’s latest fragrance collection – Suede Orris – the company collaborated with the up and coming, charming, and talented Perfumer, Jérôme Di Marino.
Working on this new Molton Brown brand, Jérôme was given absolute creative freedom, styling his own inspiration for his own scent. He applied his passion for reshaping traditional scents for the present to create this fragrance.
The new Suede Orris fragrance is a gracious alliance of history and modernity. The deeply caressing scent starts its journey with fresh mandarin for a subtle citrus lift in the top, classical rose and jasmine in the heart that wrap around clouds of powdery Tuscan orris. In the base, creamy cedarwood partners with the woody-musk notes of patchouli.
Daring and creative, perfumery’s rising personality crafts his most intriguing work without boundaries. “This fragrance came from my private collection, which is the key to enjoying unfiltered creativity,” said Jérôme. “Upon discovering this, Molton Brown really embraced the lack of rules which led to a modern interpretation of the noble, Florentine precious perfumery gesture of orris-scented gloves.”
Jérôme started working in fragrance industry a few years ago when he was recruited by Takasago, the fragrance House owned by Francis Kurkdjian. Since then, he’s worked closely with Kurkdjian, who’s been both a close friend and a mentor, and is someone he still collaborates with today.
To complement the Suede Orris EdT fragrance (50ml £45 & 100ml £69), why not cleanse your body with the Bath and Shower Gel (300ml/£22), then delicately massage in the creamy Body Lotion (300ml £26) for beautifully feather-soft skin, and to complete the beauty ritual, generously beautify hair with a sheer veil of the new hair mist (100ml £55).
Molton Brown’s Suede Orris Collection will exclusively preview in John Lewis on Tuesday, 5th February 2019, then nationwide online and in-store from Wednesday, 6th March 2019.
