Following the recent BBC show – The Truth About Looking Good – presented by Cherry Healey – it was revealed that Nivea Soft Moisturiser (£2), hydrates skin more so within three weeks than its competitor products from Clinique and Embryolisse, priced from £20 – £40.
It was reported that 75% of women and 25% of men spend more than £2billion a year on skincare products, spending £500million on lotions alone. However, the BBC Show made known that improving skincare doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.
Tests found that looking for higher levels of humectants, an ingredient that helps skin to retain moisture, is a better way of picking a moisturiser and one type of humectant, Glycerin, is the second ingredient listed in Nivea Soft – further highlighting its hydration benefits.
