Superdrug has taken the next step in aiming to offer accessible beauty with the launch of a new store format offering a wide menu of beauty and grooming treatments.
The first of the new Beauty Studios opened in Leicester’s Fosse Park store that offers customers a barber shop, hair salon, nail bar, waxing studio, spray tanning, and piercing, and with each area managed by fully trained specialists.
Superdrug already shapes over a million brows a year in its existing network of over 200 Brow & Lash Bars and the new beauty services offer individual treatments, as well as packages for customers to have a full makeover.
The first Superdrug Barber shop offers men’s grooming station, including wet and dry shaves, as well as men’s hairstyling and colour treatments. The team has been trained by WAHL, with prices from £8 for a beard trim.
Jerry Walkling, Superdrug Sales Operations Director, said: “Our customers can now come into store and not just pick up a beauty bargain and get advice on the latest products, but treat themselves to a beauty treatment such as a spray tan or manicure, or have their highlights done.”
Superdrug plans to follow the opening of Superdrug Beauty Studio in Fosse Park with more stores offering the full beauty and grooming approach planned for the future.
