Acqua di Parma’s latest exclusive creation for Harrods’ customers is Colonia Vaniglia, an Eau de Cologne Concentrée, which embraces characteristic citrus notes combined with distinctive and precious Madagascan vanilla, drawing out its utterly unexpected and extraordinary olfactory nuances that unleashes the beauty of one of earth’s last corners of paradise, the island of Madagascar.
Madagascar accounts for most of the world’s production of vanilla, and it is only on this remote island that the finest, deeply fragrant and seductively buttery vanilla, expressly selected by Perfumer, François Demachy, grows.
The Colonia Vaniglia’s composition opens with intense, sunny citrus notes of bergamot, mandarin and neroli, which intermingle with soft notes of heliotrope, jasmine sambac and the mellow creaminess of vanilla. Its gourmand base is where vanilla notes blend with warm accents of cedarwood and delicate, persistent notes of musk.
The packaging of Colonia Vaniglia oozes Italian elegance and craftsmanship. Inside the shiny, metallic bronze box includes sophisticated details that reflect the unmistakable lettering of Harrods. The Harrods ‘H’ is elegantly screen printed in gold inside the box, and again in black on the stopper of the iconic Art Deco bottle in tobacco tones.
Colonia Vaniglia is available exclusively at Harrods and retails at £178 for 100ml.
